Thai massage was developed over 2500 years ago to work on the monks, who meditated several hours a day in sedentary postures.
The typical session is 2.5 hours, as it very thoroughly manipulates the body.
Thai massage also referred to as "lazy man's yoga" involves stretching which opens the joints, increases flexibility and releases body tension.
The recipient wears loose clothing and the work is done on a padded floor. Acupressure is applied along the meridians, "energy lines", of the body and
each body part is put into an assortment of stretches, encouraging full range of motion per area.
"This practice gives you yoga & massage. It increases flexibility, relieves muscle tension & helps with chronic pain" - Newsweek
